Dodge parts question

Post by Peterdodge6volt » Tue Jul 11, 2017 3:22 am

Hi
I Have a few questions about dodge engines
Is the early T215 and late T214 dodge WC engine are the same parts or are they different size
following parts
Distributor--- I have a few different size but don't know which one is correct for T215 small or big
Fuel pump
Thermostat--- are they same or different
Pulley --- they should all same size
Fly wheel. I am not sure if I am correct if I got this right is T215 have 6 bolt holes I know T214 has 8 bolt holes which is correct.

Thanks for your reply

Cheers Peter

Hi Peter
The T215 AND THE t214 are the same block part number 870011 without pistons or 870228 with pistons.
The crank is the same 870001
According the parts manual the T215 uses 4 flywheel bolts and the T214 uses 8, But as the cranks are the same part number the rear of the crank must have 8 holes
Dist are the same part number 919911
fuel pump the same 921022
T stat the same 876040
Which pulley are you talking about?
Fan pulley is the same 641700
Bottom pulley is also the same 633735
Hope this helps

Thanks Ernie
My early T215 flywheel has 6 bolt holes, the distributor on the engine is really small than the other one I have on the engine. The bottom pulleys 1 of them is really big, I think it for a hotrod.
The fuel pump is smaller than the other I have. I have also slightly different size fan pulley just not sure which one is the correct one.

Ok thermostat is same thank you Ernie

Cheers Peter

Hi Peter
Can you post pictures of the dist and fuel pump?
I am not aware of a small dist for the Dodges. There are many size fuel pumps out there, Replacements, not original< There was an earl;y and late fuel pump. The early has a metal bowl and the later looks just like a tin can
