Gents,
Thanks all regarding your paint recommendations. I have a decision to make now: color and type paint. Leaning toward either grey or flat black.

I am back to square 1 regarding the generator. The pulley sub I had does not work. I think I am going to have to just find a suitable 6v Dodge genny that will work. I am open to suggestions. One idea was to redrill the holes in the mounting bracket to move the genny forward, but I'm not sure about that option.

Just another note, when you purchase the exhaust mounting kit from VPW, the holes don't fit between the u brackets and the frame hanger, and the rear exhaust bracket has no plate to mount it to the frame. I spoke with them for about 30 mins, and no solution yet. I'll just redrill the holes and make a hanger for the rear mounting clamp. Pics to follow.

Just received a call from Joe and with this pic, he thinks I have a different mounting bracket, perhaps for a 3/4 ton and the holes are different moving the genny farther aft. I am going to source a correct bracket and for $15 be back on track. In addition, the adjusting strap is different. Notice on mine it has a large bend to align with the genny. I have the correct one for replacement on that part. This is the pic from Joe.

Here is my spare adjusting strap, which, when used with the correct mounting bracket, should move my original pulley in line with the other two.

Peter, I have the correct adjustment strap, but am looking for the bracket. Here is what my mounting bracket looks like and it is incorrect: too far aft.

Over all is 6 3/4, i fit it to a generator and it fit
center to center is 3 1/16 I matched it up to one like yours i had and the bolt holes do line up
offset to the front looks like 1 13/16

That is perfect. My front bolt hole is 1 1/8 aft, this one is 1 13/16 aft which would move the genny pully 11/16 forward putting it in line with the other two pulleys. I have been watching one exactly like that on ebay for $19.99 or make an offer. Probably can get it for $15 :D

Thanks

The bracket Ernie post is the correct early one, for short pulley.
