I don't think its a G8T. It has civy gauges in it.

I think early G8T’s had a civilian dash/gauges. This one appears to be pre-1943. I’m not an expert but I once owned a G8T (serial #168338, DoD 9-28(?)-43) when I was younger.....wish I had it now. Had a military dash, no Ford logos on the side of the hood, no fender fog lights, had a BODL on the left fender, etc).

I’m curious if there are data plates on the pasenger side dash?

Did the early ones have the fold out windshield?

I’m not sure Jay but I believe they did....I seem to recall my ‘43 G8T did but it’s been 20 years since I last saw it. I’ve always liked these trucks, even with their “faults”. I personally have only seen one restored, that I can remember (Portland in 2013).

I think the cargo beds are difficult to find?

Yes they are a rare bird. I have one with a great cab but a home built junk bed.

Maybe once my WC-4 is closer to being finished I’ll try to find another G8T....this thread has definitely renewed my fondness for them!
