Hey Matt. I saw the biggest bobcat I ever saw leaving you place this summer about a mile or two from your place. He looked like a total killer. Sean.

Was he dark brown? Down by the beaver pond at the "T" in the gravel road?

I've seen that one before - apparently Gunnar has got himself a girlfriend - my neighbor sees the two of them hanging out down on her horse property...

curiosity killed the cat...

what is the Buffalo Seven?

How can they charge $35k for something and omit interior and engine compartment pictures? Seems kinda crazy!

This should help it make more sense...

http://g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f= ... 4#p1635147

The guys who ended up with the one in the current auction kept it local to upstate NY - last I heard that unit had a blown head gasket on the Cummins 250 which the City of Buffalo had installed in the cargo bed as part of the mods long ago - I actually have the original (well scans) blueprints drawn by the City P/E (John Loffredo) at the time of conversion... The guys who got this said they had another Cummins out of a crane that they were going to swap in.

The original plan for this one was to keep it in the City livery and just get it running again - obviously that has changed a little...

The other modded one now sits down in Texas at Brent Mullins (awaiting resto) and rumor has it will go to Hawaii eventually.

The four shells are still in PA to the best of my knowledge along with 2 other LVT-4's - owned by a pair of brothers... I believe their plan is to make several into static monuments and restore two of them.

I plan on getting mine swimming again and restored to a late WWII era machine while keeping a few of the icebreaker mods as a nod to it's post war service. I will be removing the power plant and going back to a radial plant.

But to answer your question I agree the lack of detailed photos for condition is probably going to be a hurdle for most people - there is also a different maker (mine is a St. Louis Car Co.) LVT-4 for sale in New Zealand - I believe it came from Dubbo, Australia and is currently offered for 50k - it too has a non-original power plant and even the transmission / transaxle has been replaced... It has unusual return rollers for the track...

There is also a WWII era LVT-(A)4 with no turret up for sale - I believe it was also going for 50k

That one is weathered but fairly unmolested (minus the missing turret)...

I'd be interested in that one if A - I had a turret and howitzer laying about and B - had twice the property and shop space I currently have and C - had 100k burning a hole in my pocket ;)

Kinda like the dude on the east coast selling the two LARC-LX's - Awesome but you'd really need a purpose...

Ha ha - yep even sleeps in bed with us sometimes - he eats Zupreem Feline Diet - (commercial zoo diet for non-domestic carnivores) - usually 13oz twice a day plus whatever other little furry critters end up crossing paths with him.

We've had him since he was less than 1lb and was 21 days old - he's about 33lbs now

And Kelly says yep - weasel certified - he also likes to sleep on the soft top of the wrecker a lot in the summer

Totally a shop cat

...and it looks like it is up for auction again. This time at https://bid.teitsworth.com/auction/91/item/99

I wonder what happened to it after the eBay auction as it looks like the same photos are being used in this auction.
