Wow. Would be pretty cool to see this one back on the road again! Gotta be a bit harder than a WWII vehicle to find parts for it, though

If I had the space to properly store this truck I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

I agree....would love to see this back on the road again!

Type II truck (gas lamps, no dizzy, no second set of plugs, no electrical generator)
I have extensive plans and a DVD full of material for the new owner should they choose to restore it, I've been slowly working on mine for a few years, and helping others out with the finer details.
If anyone knows of a dead motor, I could use a third Main journal bearing cap (cracked) and another twin plug head!.

If someone here bought it or knows who did, please pass my name along so I can send them a DVD with critical info and manuals. Sorry I missed this one.

Did you ever find out who bought the Liberty truck?? I found the perfect accessory for it (or yours if you're interested).

Yes it was purchased for the Veterans Museum in Alabama. I've been in contact with them and provided about 4GB of data I had assembled, but there's always more to discover.
You say you have a taillight? A photo would help me give it some provenance, Hays Outapaulick (SP) had several, but they are not for the Liberty that I could see.
1st model had a small electric one attached to the rear cross member (no known photos of it that I have found), second model went back to oil lamp with bracket on the side of the frame. Friend recently cast the repro bracket up for the second type, a friend in New Zealand just cast hood tie-down assemblies for me. Turning into a truly international effort to get those survivors restored.

I just sent you an email with more info. This is quite a bit larger than a taillight!

It is not mine. I talked to the seller who is located near Topeka KS. He is asking $2800. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/grd/d/19 ... 70147.html

There was an identical one I think in Alabama a few years back for 2K, but you need the chassis under it...
"Production" of the Standard B (Liberty) was for cargo trucks, following WWI, all sorts of things happened like troop seats added in (about '22) metal dump bodies, single wide rear tires cross hatched tires, etc. but if you want a factory or Wartime truck, it's going to be a cargo bed with 6 flat tread solid rubber tires with either metal or wood wheel.

The Liberty bed has 10 bolts per side board and then a header angle iron with about 5 additional bolts per side, this means the sideboards really never came off, they don't just drop in slots like a modern flatbed, each bolster has three pieces of cast metal with the last upright being wider. So repoping those has been a hold up, no one wants to take apart a good bed to loan one for casting.

Any bed would be fine to parade with for next years 100th anniversary, but a factory bed is what I want to shoot for.

PS: San Antonio Tx. Roads department volunteers restored a Standard B with a nice steel flatbed and Pneumatic tires, doors, etc. "restored" is a very loose term to many, this forum is generally not using that term so loosely. WAW
