Has anyone actually seen one of these replicas made in Albuquerque, NM?

Yes that was one of them. Info seems to be sketchy on them, especially from their manufacturer, so was hoping to hear opinions on and experience with them.

I bought one from the guy several years ago (cash up front so he could get it going). At that time I was told a "turn key" was $9500. and would take 4 months. Well, nine months later, two trips to Albuquerque, and 4 thousand dollars more, I finally got a car that could drive down the street. I now hold a judgement against KoobleKar.

I've tried several times to get an info packet from these people but have never recieved anything.
They look nice in the photos but an "up close and personal" look would be needed before I spent that much money.
I see that they are now advertising a beetle done up in an Afrika Korps configuration.
If anyone gets detailed info on these, or gets a close look at one, I'd be interested in a review.
Thanks, dave
