Axis Track Services (Bruce Crompton Collection) new website

Post by David » Wed Mar 12, 2014 4:53 am

The restoration team of the Bruce Crompton Collection has launched a new website and FB-page to show some past & current projects, with some great photos published there! The Crompton Collection is one of the foremost WW2 vehicle collections in the UK, specialising on original German half- and fulltrack vehicles. The vehicles shown now are only a selection of what they have, the Collection also includes a large number of artillerypieces, weapons & equipment and a growing number of Allied vehicles.

Owner Bruce Crompton and his team also star in the new TV show 'Combat Dealers', which is expected to premiere in April on Discovery Channel Europe. Filming of season 2 has already started some time ago. I'm not sure when it will be aired in the US though.

The Collection has also supplied vehicles and advise to the upcoming movie 'Fury', starring Brad Pitt. On a side note, the very Kettenkrad used in the final battle scene of 'Saving Private Ryan' is part of the Collection and also featured on the website!
