value of a Russian GAZ 67 (Jeep wannbe)

Post by pak36 » Thu Sep 10, 2009 2:16 am

I may have found a GAZ 67 for sale. Trying to figure what is a ballpark price to pay for one. Believe it to be an early one as the hood has the triangular looking airvents. Wheel rims are not all original (some are) and the rear seat is missing along with the extra gas tank under the front seat. Body appears pretty good and the rest looks ok too. No pics sorry. Any help appreciated. John

Gaz 67 is basically a Model A Ford. Lots of interchangable parts. I have seen them sell for $1,500 on up.
Let me know how you do with it.

No, under seat (reserve) gas tank not the same with GAZ-MM truck (GAZ-AA/MM not have reserve gas tank).
The same is general gas tank with GAZ-AA, Ford-AA trucks.

Hi,
the GAZ-67 (BA-) engine is almost same with engine Ford A Type B.

I think it is difficult to find spares in US.
Here in post USSR area it is not dificult, but usually all parts in dead condition (number of GAZ-67B production is only about 92000).
Very rare items are original wheel rims.

just returned from over a month in lithuania hunting for gaz 67 parts. i found the following. gaz64 restored for sale. 17 gaz67 tire rims. 3 gaz67 engines complete. original headlights. windshield wiper moters. original generator. original distributer. i also found a shop reproducing gaz67 bodies. you get front fenders body windshield (less glass) rear fenders and top bows. no hood or grill. i found in a flea mkt 2 grills, one early and one late. the parts are avail. if you know where to look. i have been looking for 16 years in lithuania and this year i struck gold. what do you need? carnut :D

are you still looking for a very nice gaz 67? i found a restored gaz 64 in latvia. not cheap, but very nice. let me know if you or you know of anyone interested. i also found 12 gaz67 rims at one location in lithuania and 2 gaz grills in latvia. one early and one late. all were for sale. i found too many other parts for the 67 to list. if you need anything keep me in mind.

what s the chance of you making a copy of your translated gaz57 manual and selling me a copy. i to have a gaz67 under resoration. i only have a original manual in russian and it doesnt help me much when i run into a problem. i have to locate a russian speaking person to translate a chapter. it slows me down a lot. car nut
