Selling parts at Corowa Jeep engine
Hi Gens
I am bringing some parts to sell at Corowa.
Jeep parts and dodge parts.
I am also selling my GPW engine half completely needs rebuilt the price is for half complete original for $300 and or almost complete engine with parts for $400, one of the valve bored rings needs replace as its a little tiny crack.
I am also selling a MB block. Just the block for $200 no cracks.
I need to save some money to buy an dodge engine at Corowa for my ww2 fire truck project which I will start working on in 3 months.
Any interested please contact me on email peterrkunz@icloud.com
If I bring it down and you change your mind not want to buy the original engine then I will throw it to scrape and I will not take it with me back to Sydney in the wc51 dodge.
Cheers Peter

Hi Peter,
What are the serial numbers of your engines please? (Behind the oil filter on the oval pad).
If MB133550 (or close) or GPW225290, consider one (or both!!! ) sold.
I know it is unlikely, but you never know your luck!
Cheers,
Ian.

Hi Ian
I manage to have a little signal on the iPad
here's the GPW number
2) GPW <> I66995. Jeep engine
Bottom block L1331
November 13, 1943
I am still looking for my photos on iPad for the MB number.
I know the MB is a 1943 I think.
You can take both engine for $400.
Cheers Peter

Re: Selling parts at Corowa Jeep engine
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the info. I hope you are enjoying your time in Tamworth- lucky man!
If the MB block has the 3 bearing caps for the crank shaft, I`ll take it thanks. If not, I will pass.
I am planning to be at Corowa mid Friday afternoon, all day saturday including at the swap and then leaving early sunday morning. I am sure we will find each other and sort it out, you have my mobile. I will try to find you sooner than later to get you the money so you have it to buy bits for the dodge!
If I can get my act together too, I shall bring along some gauges for repair and also spares you might be interested in too.
Cheers,
Ian.

Re: Selling parts at Corowa Jeep engine
Hi Ian
I am at the farm this Saturday preparing the dodge for Corowa. if you are happy to come at the farm to look at the engine.
I can't remember want the mechanics done to the MB engine as half of the parts are in my rebuild GPW engine.
Are the cap you said the one that holds the crankshaft. I hope I am right let me know.
As I am trying to saving money so I can buy the dodge engine on Monday at Corowa. The engine I am buying is for my wc51 fire truck dodge. I will start working on her mid this year.
Thanks
Peter

Re: Selling parts at Corowa Jeep engine
Hi Peter,
I would love to come and look but doubt I can get there this weekend sorry.
Yes, the caps which hold the crankshaft in- if it has the 3 of them, I shall take it.
If it helps, I can send you the money before hand?
I will try to call you tonight or tomorrow night and sort it out.
Ian.

Re: Selling parts at Corowa Jeep engine
Hi
I tryed to call few times at 7:30PM.
I think it still has the three cap because I saw it in the box when the mechanics pull it apart.
Just 2 questions
1) how far are you from Campbelltown.
2) I will also be at the farm next weekend and the other week as well.
3) I can bring the MB block home it's not heavy I lift it before and put it in the car.
I can't bring the GPW engine home as its heavy still has all the parts inside the block but I can take pictures of it.
And can also bring the GPW engine to Corowa.
Cheers peter

Re: Selling parts at Corowa Jeep engine
Hi all,
Having spoken to Peter, I am not buying the MB block any more.
There is nothing wrong with it from my point of view or from what he told me (it actually sounded better than it does on this add), it is just a change of mind after speaking to him and in light of the direction he needs to go so he can get his dodge engine ASAP.
So, I formally withdraw from my interest in the MB block if anyone else wants to purchase it.
Cheers,
Ian.
