I have a 1945 Ford GPW for sale that would be a good restoration candidate. To the best of my knowledge this is a numbers matching GPW. The nomenclature plate, engine block, frame and California title all list "GPW271068". The T-84 and transfer case are Ford units and are original as far as I can tell. There are lots of F-script bolts and parts. The tub is in rough condition with a lot of filler in areas. The hood, windshield frame, fenders and grill are in okay condition. Little to no rust, the hat channels were repaired (non original reproductions) in 1994.
This GPW was restored in 1994 (when I purchased it) and is not currently running. It ran a few weeks ago, but now has an unknown knocking sound when cranking and I haven't started it again. The transmission was rebuilt last year but will need to be gone through again (problem in 2nd and 3rd gear). I believe the GPW has been in Northern California since first sold. SOLD

The data plate is hard to read. Would you be so kind to let me know the day of delivery? Best wishes; Leo
