Willy's L134 Block, Crank, Oilpan & More

Post by Watson » Sun Jul 16, 2017 3:52 pm

Engine was previously used to power an air compressor (Hesse Carriage Co.). Pistons were damaged by corrosion, but the block is solid and does not need to be bored. Bore is 30 over, crank is 20 under.
No cracks.

Includes
  • Crankshaft
  • 4 Rods
  • Camshaft
  • Oil Pan
  • 4 Valves
  • Front Cover

Probably someplace from 53 ish to the late 60's. First one I've seen with the casting number upside down. I think these came stock with hardened valve seats.

No idea on the date, but the cast number is 908756. The number stamped in the top of the block is (JC) R3J179187, the characters in parenthesis are rotated 90 degrees left.
