Cee Tee slip joint pliers
Are these Cee Tee pliers correct for WW2?
Here are close ups of the only markings I have found

Re: Cee Tee slip joint pliers
It seems like yesterday when Cee Tee Co pliers were pooh-poohed even for a motorpool toolkit!
It is a good thing that now they have the acceptance they deserve!

Re: Cee Tee slip joint pliers
Luca, and I may be one of those guys In my area flea market, actually tomorrow, I can guarantee that I will see no less than 4 sets of CeeTee's. The production numbers must have been astounding when compared to the competition. I will go through 2 dozen CeeTee's before I ever see another wartime set from another company. It seems like yesterday when Cee Tee Co pliers were pooh-poohed even for a motorpool toolkit!
As an example, I'll pick up any and all slip joints that I find tomorrow and report back.

Re: Cee Tee slip joint pliers
CEE TEE CO grow on trees around here, too. And if I wanted a crate full of pipe wrenches, wartime 6- and 14-inch RIDGID are in the same orchard, apparently. I now put all three in the same category as the Indestro Select Steel 723: left behind.
Not to be that guy with the partypooping facts, but it bears noting that the earliest factory document Fred or I could find that references CEE TEE CO (vis-a-vis the #H-26 model number) for the Willys A-374 pliers is May 1943, so they're not appropriate for early war MBs.

Re: Cee Tee slip joint pliers
Proper 6" pipe wrenches are slightly more common then hens' teeth out here in any brand or style. They definitely don't fall in the "left behind bin"!Wingnutt wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 7:44 amCEE TEE CO grow on trees around here, too. I didn't know you needed one. I stopped picking them up when the demand stopped and I noticed I had a little pile. You need one?

Re: Cee Tee slip joint pliers
So...as per Greg's research, from May '43 onward an MB might have CTs.
I would not suggest that they are appropriate for a GPW factory kit though....unless I see something from Tom W. indicating otherwise.

Re: Cee Tee slip joint pliers
I have a couple, so I'm not in need. Just commenting in case someone is looking at availability by region. Small pipe wrenches don't come up much out here.
