5 1/2" nippers came in the Electricians Tool Set I recently put together.

Yes, I think so. Nippers were made for farriers and electricians. Some of those look like farrier nippers.

I did find a pair of snips that match descriptions a pair of Wiss V13 7inch
Some where along the line they got a coat of greenish/grey paint.

I don't see anything of value here, in last photo...

Those are keepers. Definitively WWII vintage, definitively the GMTK specified length and combination cut for the tin snips, and WISS is a verified supplier.prestoncohunter wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 12:57 pmI did find a pair of snips that match descriptions a pair of Wiss V13 7inch
The various machinists' tools (inside calipers, outside calipers, dividers, etc) are maybes. By the way, the tools that you are calling "drawing tools" are machinists tools, and the one at the top is a surface gauge, with its scriber intact. That's a nice piece. Can't tell how old without close-ups, name and model number.
There were nippers in one of the higher echelon specialists sets. Either the blacksmiths' or the sheet metal mechanics. Possibly battery expert. I'd have to look and type and lengths.
Everything else is probably pre-war. Especially the farm tools/multi-wrenches.

Thank you. Next time I'm down will give the nippers a closer look for any markings. Anything specific I should look for.
