Welcome back.
You sent your tank to Norfolk, Va. from SC to get repaired? Is there some magic shop up here (I'm 10 miles from Norfolk) that I'm not aware of?
Nothing available in SC is amazing.

... No, W. I happen to come up to Northern Virginia/ North Carolina for weeks at a time, so I contacted "Culpepper Radiator". A majority of their work is Naval oriented, but they love old vehicles as well. They are going to cut it open, pound out the dents, remove lead patches, solder any pinholes, install a new pickup, line the inside/outside, weld it closed, grind welds smooth, and paint for an estimate of $375ish.

Re: Hello, again...
Friend had one done at a local radiator shop, ended up at $500, as they did not call and ask him what work he wanted. Glad to see it's cheaper where you got it done.
Welcome back.

Had me excited for a second when you said Culpepper Radiator. Then I looked them up and realized they aren't anywhere near Culpepper, VA. Which I'm not either. But they are not anywhere close the opposite side of me not being anywhere close. I thought at first this place was under two hours from me. Nope more like five...

Welcome home!
Thanks for the tip on Culpepper...the rad on my WC needs some serious TLC, so a call to Culpepper may well be in order. The next time you're coming up 95, give me a shout, maybe we can link up.
Steve
