Tools in my NAF Kennedy cantilever box

Post by d42jeep » Fri Sep 22, 2017 8:20 am

This is a toolset I've put together for my own enjoyment, not worrying too much about the accuracy of every little item, although each item should appear in the NAF Class 41 catalog. I have a Surface Zero album that has images of most of the items in the set, but it is constantly changing as I find new appropriate items. Please feel free to comment or ask questions.

I think I'll just screen-print these images and stick them in my box... :D . Seriously dedicated work Don. Great job.

The only NAF marked tool I have is the Diamond auto wrench, which I know you already have. But, I've got several Bonney tools dual-marked with "WRIGHT" (Aeronautical) and WRIGHT (Aeronautical) part numbers as well as a few dual marked "PWA" with "PWA" part numbers. They're not NAF, per se, but they're definitely Aviation! Let me know if you're interested.

I really want to know how much that weighs in total. Surely there has to be a limit as to what you can put on one of those handles.

Wheels, we need wheels. Probably have to put the empty box into the back of a jeep and just load it up in place.

When I get back to the Bay Area in a couple of weeks I will weigh it and report back. I have lifted it a couple of inches with the handle, albeit nervously, but the handle seems strong enough to handle it. It's definitely heavier than a GMTK.

Don,
That is an amazing set you have put together. And what a great way to display items from the Class 41. I've said it before but you are my retirement inspiration! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kudos, Phil. I found a few items from the catalog that won't fit in the toolbox such as these bolt cutters.

Great idea Don and wonderful photos. I've been moving my MVMTS/GMTS boxes around the garage with a "Warehouse Truck" 69-T-1906!
