Good LORD! That thing is a monster!
With nothing else in the pic for scale, it's hard to tell, but it has to be HUGE!
I'd hose it down with some penetrating oil to see if that loosens up the lever. Cool find!

Re: 2017 Tool Hunting
11" tall, and probably 6" wide (note ruler in 1st pic, showing height). It was too cool to walk past for the price; if I don't have to buy the $80 kit, it's going to be a lot cooler, lol!
Thanks for the oil suggestion on the lever; I was surprised what it took to get the plug to turn, with some Kroil and a cheater bar on a 1/2" ratchet.

Jason, it's encouraging to enable someone else, especially as the new guy!
There's surprisingly little which I can find on the net about these old jacks. However, I did find a couple eBay auctions for pages out of old (hardware store) catalogs, which have a little info about these jacks. User, these may be informative for you, since your D-8.7 is listed in both. Unfortunately, neither has a date which I saw on the page, but the sellers specified when they were published. The first is allegedly from 1937 and the second is allegedly from 1940.
