That set is coming along really nicely Don.
I struggle with the punches and chisels over here.

Thanks Guys. Other than the largest D-I sockets, the correct chisels and punches have been hardest for me to find. Just like my file collection, I have plenty of incorrect ones. My wife and I went to an estate sale yesterday and picked up a couple of interesting items. The first item is a 10" Stillson type pipe wrench from the Ridge Tool Co. The other item is a rusty shovel. Pictures below.
Edit 4/11
Things are looking up in the big D-I department.

Don,
I can only echo everyone else...... Your set looks great. I have found the files, punches, and chisels the most difficult as well but I don't think it is because they are hard to find. At flea markets they are usually in big buckets or boxes and its just no fun going through them all.

Files are not a problem in my neck of the woods. Neither are punches - except for the 3/8" tip. (BTW, Don, I see we have matching Mayhews!) Correct chisels are very elusive critters here, though. With chisels, invariably, if the length is right, the cut is wrong, or vice versa. Boxes and boxes of not-quite-right chisels. Very frustrating. In fact, I've been keeping my keepers close to my vest until now, but I will say that the only two pieces separating me from having a complete GMTK is indeed, the cape chisel and the diamond-point chisel.

I know just what you mean about boxes and boxes of incorrect punches and chisels. I have the start of a nice vintage Proto collection.
Edit:
The shovel is now ready to be attached to the Jeep.

Hi, All,
Today I finally finished my quest for a complete D-I socket set for my GMTK. Like many of these searches, the last couple of sockets turned up in the most unlikely of places. Here are a few pictures.

Thanks, Tin. I never thought that I would find those last two. With a lot of help from some long time Gee members, my sets have received several recent upgrades. The pictures will tell the stories. Thanks for everything, Guys!

I have really enjoyed re-looking through this topic Don. Great photos of some impressive toolsets. Any chance of another photo of your 41-S-1228 5-1/2" Electrician's Screwdriver? In my book, it's a real rarity and I'm still waiting for one to turn up. My example is a U.S.A. Stanley but it's too long. I've even thought of cutting it down, but that's not in the spirit of a true GMTK collector!

Looks great Don! Nice work! The Walden box is a fantastic addition and the Armstrong, very nice and just like the one I used for mine. BTW Why didn't you set your ignition set roll on top of the walden box?

Thanks, Cliff. I just took a picture of my Bridgeport and I'll post it below. Congratulations on your new granddaughter! Phil, I didn't move the ignition wrench set so the FSN would be visible as some might think. I was worried that the weight of those massive ignition wrenches might dent the top of the box. Here are a few more pictures.

Thanks Don for posting the image of your Bridgeport 5.5in screwdriver. At least I now have a photo of the real McCoy! Do you come across them often, if so, do you have some spares kicking around looking for a new home?

GMTK Bridgeport and MVMTS Irwin

Cliff, I have never run across another but I'm always looking. On the last page of SillysMB's thread on electricians screwdrivers I had posted a picture of my Irwin's that I had taken apart and shortened the part of the blade that fits in the handle. I had re-drilled the blade for the rivet and reassembled it using the original rivet. The good thing about it was that I didn't have to modify the tip. Here is the link but I'll post a picture of it next to the Bridgeport.

You've got a knack for finding the good stuff, Don! Keep it up, but try to leave some for the rest of us!
Those upgrades are awesome! I'm pretty envious of the 41-W-2615 marked Walden box. You don't have a spare, do you?!
