Distributor problems?

had the jeep running the other day, then went to start it in the morning and it just turned over and did not fire, checked plugs and no spark, has new coil and ditributor cap and rotor arm but no joy. bit of a beginer when it comes to electrics so any help greatly apreciated

i was working on the engine and removed the distributor cleaned it etc. it was getting late so i put it all back together and the ignition lead got hiden behind the engine and i couldnt work it out why it wouldnt fire, untill the morning when the light was better and i found it. basic mistake live and learn :D :D 8)
