malt plate

Post by gareth dyas » Sun Sep 14, 2003 12:58 pm

i thought that the malt plate was welded inside the chassis by the rear r/h side shock mount. could it have been welded in anywhere else? say in the rear cross member above the rear axle? just wondering because i have a hole there and i can not think why it is there. :?

Hi

Cant tell you bout other places for the plate.

Found mine welded inside of the frame above the rear right shock absorber.

But there weren´t any holes for that plate.

It was welded into the frame, not upright but in an angle about 60 degrees.

Its about 2 by 8 centimetres.

Good look.

By the way: You have to be something like a snake-human to SEE the plate.

You got to feel it...

ITN No MB frame with malt plate on inner frame passenger side shock
absorber and on driver side back side motor mount bracket on top.
