I need some guidance regarding the area where the front floor and gas tank well come together. GPW 104111’s tub is nearly finished...new JMP fuel tank well and new RFJP front floor. There are some gaps in the left front and left rear corners. Were these filled with weld, have sheet metal present in these areas or were they left “open”? These areas on my ‘42 GPW aren’t in the best shape and have been “repaired” previously so I decline to use it as a reference. Can anyone post a photo of these areas on their tub?
I should mention that this is a Ford produced tub (not ACM). Many thanks!!!!

Junior...
The first pic should tell you that the CUT for the floor where the tank goes is NOT at an angle and should be TIGHT against the tub well. The others show no light coming through.
These are from your FORD tub I have here. Do you need more pics?

Re: GPW Gas Tank Well to Front Floor area
Chuck, I was going to ask you to take a look at it for me since both their production dates are similar. Thank you.
So, it appears that the fuel take well and floor should be flush and then that corner welded. Thanks!
