variation in Schwarze horns

Post by Mark Miller » Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:14 am

I have three ( now two ) Schwarze Horns and one of them has a slightly different back. I have not seen this variation in any of the horn pictures.

If someone wants to PM me with there email address, I will forward a few pics and they can post ( I haven't figured out how to post pics ).

hi All;

here are the photos that Mark has sent me.

Two schwarze horns look to be the regular horn, the third one looks to be an after marker horn (like the beep beep road runner one).

The one you think is an after market horn actually has the Schwarze label on it . It's hard to see, but it's on the rim area next to the bracket.

Hi Navarre,

Very interesting that this is a Schwarze. I've tried to identify a horn I have and this the first match I've seen. The front/trumpet of my horn looks different though, so either it's a different Schwarze model or horn salad (more likely). Thanks for posting the photos -

I picked up a horn last weekend that looks exactly like the last gray horn in the thread. Were you able to identify the horn? Unfortunately, many of the threads that had comparison pictures are no longer viewable.

Thanks, Tom

Tom, I never was able to identify this horn. I still have it, I need to strip the gray paint off and maybe then I’ll find some markings. Probably not likely but worth a shot.

Common on Ford trucks I believe.

The Schwarze horns I have all have an embossed/stamped plate attached using 2 adjoining studs on the horn, with the Schwarze name. None are stamped directly into the horn back or trumpet.
