Hard to get maximum turnout when it competes with the second largest annual MV gathering and swap meet west of the Mississippi. The Camp Delta meet at Tower Park Resort has been the third week of September for years.

Well I guess it boils down to buying parts or supporting one of the largest Military Veterans groups north of Sacramento. Life is full of choices isn't it!!!!

It doesn't have to be a choice for people unless there are no other available weeks. Separating events marketed to the same demographic means they can attend both. Two weeks apart or more is ideal. One week works but often the "honey do" list at home gets in the way and folks have to choose only one.

All types of events for MV hobbyists and vendors are good. The annual Spring and Fall MV meets in North/Central CA are more than swap meets. Good luck on your event.

I see the two events were separated in 2016 by one or two weeks.

I'd have to agree with John. We are such a small community it seems a shame that we should pit similar events against one another. I'll bet the same folks that go to one would love to go to both. It's more opportunity to visit, but and sell. And for those who can't make one of the weekends they can go to the other.

Perhaps there are extenuating circumstances that it HAD to be the same weekend. We should use one of the master event calenders that have many things scheduled

I generally use this to plan my participation.

Petaluma was an April event, not September.

The September version of Camp Delta never left Tower Park. In my view the one last year was the best in years because it was nearly all MV people in Campground 2 and 3. Shady and no minimal dust. As Frenchman said, we are moving the April meet back to Tower Park, campgrounds 2, 3 4 like in the past and possibly another area. The renovations will be done. It's the best swap meet layout we have ever had, and the most central for where MV people are in the West. The meet this September should be big because of all the people reconning the changes and picking or trading spaces for the big April 2019 meet.
