I am not affiliated with this event, but last time I was there, it was very interesting. Hope I can make it this year.

After Action Report
We did manage to make it Saturday. Great event, apparently they do this from time to time. The Colling's Foundation B-17 and B-24 were there getting some maintenance, so it was an opportunity to look them over with cowlings and inspection plates removed. Pretty amazing (and complicated) machines. There was also a PBY that had the wing removed and looked to be in a serious state of restoration. Couple of P-51's undergoing maintenance and I believe a P-40. Not much in the way of ground MV's, one MB and one M38, but both looked nice with the M2 and M1919A4 mounted on pedestals. A few other large aircraft, good hamburger and the event also benefited the local animal shelter. A few local WWII vets were there selling their memoirs, wish I could have talked to them some more. They also have a small museum in the hangar that has some interesting displays.

I'm envious of those who have access to these events that show WWII warplanes in the raw.

Here are some pics from a few previous events.
You dont get to see the inner workings at a regular airshow.
As soon as I figure out how, I will post some I took last weekend.
