Post by Mighty Eighth » Tue Aug 05, 2003 12:38 am

Wings on 23/24 August. Lots of vintage warbirds and a large display of military vehicles. Sonoma County Airport (aka Charles Schultz Airport) Santa Rosa, CA  gary
Contrails were the angel's arrows for the G503 to follow.

I haven't heard of this one before. Is this mostly an airshow (given that it's held at an airport), or is there a good turn out of vintage vehicles as well???? Thanks for posting this info, I'll put it on the calendar.

J.....yes, this is an annual event and growing larger each year. Blue Angels performed in past. Not sure about this year. Large collection of military vehicles will be on display and driving around shuttling people. Usually a fly-by by USAF. Other planes will be performing, and lots of warbirds. The Pacific Coast Air Museum is located at the airport. Take HWY 101 north through Santa Rosa to Airport Blvd. Exit and head west to Sonoma County Airport. Look for us and come join in the fun. I'll be parked next to Matt (MP45MB) Perry. His jeep makes mine look 'mo betta. gary

Thanks for the info. For anyone else who may be interested, there is a lot of additional information available that is posted on the website pacificcoastairmuseum.org
including history of event, cost, event participants, scheduled activities and much more.
