FS: US pre-jerry 10-gallon cans
G503-ers:
ALL CANS HAVE BEEN SOLD! THANK YOU! I am leaving this post for reference purposes.
For your consideration are three (3) 10-gallon US fuel drums for sale. These were used by the US military before the 5-gallon jerry cans. More info (with pictures) at viewtopic.php?f=37&t=238912
I all three drums have small holes due to rust through. Some have original caps, some do not. I will try and give a quick description of each can.
Recently, I sold the fourth drum I had to a buyer in California. Shipping and packaging from Wisconsin to California was about US$80.00. I am asking US$90.00 for each can and that does not include shipping and packaging, so please take that into consideration. The drums are about 16 pounds each, 14.5" across, and 17.5" high. Shipping will be from zip code 54912.
Send me a PM with more questions or to reserve your can. I will accept cash, USPS money orders, or PayPal.
Can #1 - Non-original cap.
Can #2 - Both original caps.
Can #3 - Small cap is original - Large cap is not. I could not get either of these caps off to empty out the loose rust dust that is inside. This can may cost more to ship due to increased weight.

Robert;
Got the can, (was out of town). These are great cans just as the US was transitioning to the jerry cans in 1941!
First one I've seen and great to own one!
Thanks!
Phil
