There are no batteries for these. You can use 5 ea. 9v in series. If you need the pin out of the octal plug let me know.

Re: Looking for BA-414/U battery or Parts
I have checked and there are no replacements from Uncle Sam...
However there is a local battry shop here in OKC that can make me some... they are comprised of 30 Type E90 (N) batteries in series... these are small batteries similar to AA, just shorter...
The local shop can weld the sets up like a nicad pack and tap the proper location... thus a BA-414/U...
Will see what I can come up with...
Thanks for the reply...

I'll bet that will be expensive for a 45 volt battery. The last time I priced NICAD N cells they were $3 each.

Why not make one your self they are soldered together AA or AAA bateries
You will not have that nice wax paper and decal but your equipment will be working
I did not think that this a difficult job tie them together with masking tape and bingo you have a new baterie.

Re: Looking for BA-414/U battery or Parts
I am not in a hurry to make everything work right yet... I have 2 RT-68's to work on, one has a transmit problem (probably a tube) the other a receive problem... so it is somehing to add to the list to look for - kind of a scavanger hunt...
I want to set my M-38 up to be fully operational; proper period radios and all... I did find a source for 24 volt vibrators for the power supplies and they work now...
Slowly gathering up parts for my setup... the look in some of the kids eyes when they actually see the radio work and talk on it is great... I am a ham radio operator and the RT-68 covers the 50 MHz ham band on FM... So I can fire it up and keep in touch with the wife while I am in a parade or event...
Hope this explains things...

Re: Looking for BA-414/U battery or Parts
I am also looking for a few of these BA-414 / BA-31 Battery. If there are any available I would like to get into contact.
Now I realize this page was made in 2011 and the most recent post was 2017.. but I'm hoping but if any one has any information on the batteries themselves such as the schematics that would be amazing or maybe a source for similar/replica/remakes. that would be awesome!!

Re: Looking for BA-414/U battery or Parts
Like the poster, I know this is an old thread but if anyone has one of these old ba-414/u batteries they can spare, please let me know. I have a battery re builder who has rebuilt a number of battery packs for my old soviet bloc radios and I would be sending it to them for a rebuild with Ni-Cad cells or something suitable. I have an vintage AN/GRA-6 control group I'm using on my VRC-24 radio set and the local control unit uses this battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone has the pin out for the octal plug, I would appreciate a copy. I just joined, and cannot send a PM to Radtech. I am restoring an AN/GRA-6, and want to create a battery pack that replaces the BA-414/U.
