Funny how these dried up a few years ago. Used to see them at shows all the time in the 90s but never bought one for how heavy they were. When I finally decided I wanted one (I have 2 now, one filled with the inserts), I lucked up on the prices (both were where I was, so no postage) but they still didn't come cheap.
Robin's example here looks like it's in great shape and the price is reasonable for what I see them going for elsewhere.
I got one from a member here at the Portland MVPA convention and it was painted like camp cookware, very well done in a gloss green. Took forever to strip it down and re-paint it.
Heck, most I've ever seen were painted something other than OD after the war.
