MEDAL of HONOR REGISTRATION

Made my day last Tuesday when a white sedan with a Medal of Honor license plate passed me on Northbound I-95 in Maine.

A while back, I was walking out of the post office near my office one morning when I saw a MOH plate on a truck and a guy about the age of a 'Nam vet getting out. I opend the door, propped it with my foot and as a former Captain in the Army, saluted him. He saluted back and said, "active?"
"Former, sir. Served long enough to known when to give proper respect."
he slapped on the should and said, "Thank you, son," and walked on in.
I went about my business, not wanting to pester the man.
Never found out who he was...
