Find info On a WW 2 GI

Is there a straight forward link on the Government achieves site to try and get info on a GI? I have his name and date of birth. A direct link would be great!

maybe this will help. I know there was a large fire many years ago I think in St Louis and a lot of records were destroyed so it can be a challenge
