So cut the slots for the charging handle tonight, also welded in the first piece of 3mm steel to bring up the level of the trunnion block.

Starts to look the part once you add a barrel :D

Image

The barrel shroud was just for mock up purposes, got to try and find a few sections of bigger pipe, to replicate the steps in the barrel profile and the barrel shroud.

Well definitely looking a lot closer now, got the barrel profile finished, and got the spade grips positioned. I think I might use and old shovel handle for the grips themselves.
Then its starts to be the detail work of trigger and buffer tube, sights and charging handle.

Got to say a big thank you to TopKick, mmike and Farrell Fox for all the great detailed pictures they have posted up in their threads, they have been a great help.

Thanks Top Kick. Any suggestions for a paint colour? I see some people paint them flat black, yours seems more grey and I have no idea what the real ones look like in person?

So working on the wooden grips for the spade handles. Epoxying nuts into the wood and then will use modified carriage bolts to bolt them up.

Don't think Top Kick has hard copies any more.
I just copied the pictures that Top Kick posted on about page 4 of this thread and combined them with the C.A.D drawings that MMike has in his post, plus went to this site http://www.replicaplans.com/BlueprintDownload.html and looked under the Browning M2 side plate drawings and then made up my own set of plans.

Changed the bolts holding the trigger group to the main body and fitted the new bolts for the grips.
