WTK: Fired TOW Training Rocket Body?

Post by Falldownjaeger » Sat Sep 16, 2017 4:19 pm

Like it says, fired training round with the inert warhead for training 11Hs, no shipping tube. Sorta outside my 11C lane, doesn't really fit in with M1081 LVAD "War Pig" Gun Truck.

Do you have one for sale?
Your post is a bit confusing.
Not sure what you want to know.
Value ? price? or where to find.
If your selling one I might be interested in it . I'd be interested in seeing a few pictures of it

How dented is it?
Location (East Coast/West Coast...Germany?)
I have a complete TOW setup on my M825 MUTT, (see my avatar) with a TOW carrier jeep in progress and would love to add one that's in fairly good shape to display at setups, but if it's overseas or across Country shipping would be a real bear and if overseas customs would typically choke.

If you do end up shipping it to somone, I would recommend putting it in a carpet roll tube (rug store maybe) or if you can source an expended TOW tube, but you'd have to reset the fins (assuming it has some) in the closed position, and that isn't super easy, but can be done.

The nosecone aluminum sheetmetal is thin enough to tap out dent over mandrel with small bodywork hammer or even filling with water then freezing multiple times to push out dent. Needs all 4 tail fins but the fin attachment point hinges/springs are there, remove with phillips screwdriver then make new fins from 3/16" alu flat bar with angle grinder and shark wheels.
