Show of Force M2HB

Post by TBowman » Sun Sep 27, 2015 5:11 pm

Hi all, after a lot of thought about up-gunning my GPW from a .30 to a .50, I decided to go with a replica built by Bob Conner at Show of Force. Because others may be making a decision on which M2 replica to get for their project, I wanted to post some detail photos of this particular one from Bob. Will be posting in three parts, These "Out of the box" ones, another series will follow here with it "Assembled" and then another with it "Mounted" Hope its useful for others.

I understand that there are different tastes, needs and budgets for all so this is only meant for everyones information and I do not represent Show of Force other then as a very, very ,very satisfied customer. Bob provided excellent communication and answered any questions I had along the way.

I think the photos speak for themselves.

Arrived well packed and in a very sturdy-built crate.

Saw the Frigidaire label 8)

Have a friend that was an armorer in the second gulf war. He said that he saw several brand new Frigidaire M2 machine guns. Also saw several used ones that were overhauled. Some had been overhauled multiple times.

That is a testament to quality of manufacture when something that old is still in service.

Some quick shots of it mounted in a .30/.50 Combo Cradle. Everything fit perfectly.

Thank you very much Tim for all the excellent photos of your Show of Force M2HB .50 Caliber.
Can you post a picture of your WWII jeep for us as well?

For those interested in the cost of these replicas, I sell them for $2200 which includes the shipping costs.
This is more than the other replicas available out there but I believe you get what you pay for with all of the extra
detailing and the real GI parts included. If you are interested in owning one of these replicas I can be reached at
bobconnor40@hotmail.com or showofforce2010@hotmail.com.

Sincerely,
Bob Connor.

While I didn't buy a whole unit from Bob / Show of Force, I'd like to say that he helped me immensely with my own build and was one helluva nice guy!

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a Ma Deuce should give Show of Force the business.

I would also like to share my complete satisfaction and pleasure with the Show of Force M2 replica by Bob Connor. The Show of Force M2 is a museum-quality piece that went way beyond my expectations. I have my M2 mounted on a M38A1. I have taken the rig through many parades for the VFW and Legion, as well as, to many shows. People cannot tell the Show of Force M2 from the real Ma Deuce unless they look very closely and have actually fired one in the past. From the GM/Fridgidaire stamping, to the Parkerized finish, to the rifling in the barrel, to the operating charging handle, to the “very audible “click” when you press the trigger, this is an awesome piece.

I would also like to add that the $2200 price tag includes shipping and handling, which other manufacturers do not include. Also, Bob Connors wants his customers to be completely 100% satisfied with their gun. Let me tell you what I mean. After a few months of owning my M2, I thought I had a problem with it. I was not hearing the “click” when I pushed the trigger. Bob said he would pay shipping in both directions to fix the problem. I was shocked that he would go to this extreme. It’s expensive shipping 80 pounds (+/-). But, before I sent it back, Bob suggested that I first try tightened a particular screw. I tightened that screw and it fixed the problem….easy-peasy. There was no problem, but Bob was willing to make sure I was 100% satisfied at no additional cost to me.

Let me assure anyone interested in a replica M2 Browning that you can buy with complete confidence from Bob Connors, you will be purchasing the best replica M2 made, and you will be more than 100% satisfied.

Hi Everyone,
Wow that last post by Steve with his award winning Jeep along with all the excellent pictures from Tim Bowman has taken the orders for my Show Of Force Replicas way over the top. I've been asked many times why I haven't set up a website and now I feel vindicated because I thought I would get swamped. I sold six a few years ago and built twelve more and now they're all sold. I had no idea you guys would go after these things! I still have many parts and I will be building more for the recent orders but recent health problems and family issues with an elderly parent has slowed me down considerably. I do highly recommend the excellent replicas built by the others mentioned on this site such as Hoosier Hotshots, IRAC, John Cheney etc.
We all consider these things as "our babies" and put an awful lot of work into them. I would like to thank Tim, Steve Stark, Doug Culver, Mike Henderson, Mike Miller and anyone else out there who were kind enough to give Show of Force a good word.

Sincerely,
Bob Connor

Well, I guess I've rested enough. I feel so much better now...

ARE YOU MILITARY VEHICLE GUYS CRAZY? I mean GEEZ! They're just jumble of steel parts that look like a .50!

Guess I'm headed back to the milling machine!
