Converto dump trailer tires

Post by _RAGNAR_ » Thu Jun 08, 2017 6:22 pm

Can anyone tell me what brand tire Convertos came from the factory with and did it change by year ? I'm trying to decide on the best reproduction I can for a late war trailer.

Thanks

There is no correct answer that I'm aware of.
Manual says: 6.00 x 16 TIRE, 6-Ply. Mad and Snow Grip-
6-00 x 16 TUBE. Heavy Duty (with Schrader Valve)

Hey, but if they are 6 ply, wartime, and weight 26 lbs I think you have a good argument to being good.

I used Goodyear tires. Here is the link to my Converto.

This is the mud and snow tire I have on my 1944 LC-61 cable plow
