Congratulations to finding a great trailer, and in really good condition too!

Most of the parts are there, it seems, only the rear opening tailgate is missing-and the two wheels. Unfortunately the wheels are not ecactly the same as on the MB/GPW and the other 1/4-ton trailers, but have reinforcements welded to the inside of the rim. The reinforced rims can be replicated fairly easily. The lunette is the correct one, as far as I can see, and the inner extra ring welded to it should be easy to remove. The lunettes are getting REALLY hard to find!

Good luck with a fantastic project!

Here is a very good quality scanned copy of the manual for it. It's handy to have printed copies of the pages to use in the workshop. If they get stained with oil and dirt you only print new ones

Ps. I actually lived with my family in BA for six months as a young boy. Don't remember much, though, unfortunately Ds

Hola Mariano,

I lived in Buenos Aires in the mid 1950's, quite a long time ago, and BA was very different them. I have some clear memories of a Estancia outside of town that a friend of my father owned. We had some of the best Asado in the world, and I am still the greatest Carnivore you can find on earth  I love big big steaks and grilled kidney, and everything else that goes with a good Asado. Luckily I have a bunch of Latin American guys that have a meat store that caters to my craving for great meat. The Chorizo's, however, I always make myself, from my mothers recipe (most of it, at least :o ). Here are pic's of the latest batch I did, 8 kg of pork shoulder, 102 Chorizo's.

Lucky break if you can get the rear with it as well.

Regarding the rims: JeepDraw comes to the rescue, once again. They have a manual on how to reinforce the regular G503 rims to Converto one's:

Looking good Mariano. :o :o

I liked the photo from the workshop, especially the two (or more?) Swedish Bofors 40mm ack-ack guns in the background. Used by all sides of WW2, imagine :o

Live well, amigo,

Goran
