Well I collect a lot of original pictures and on top of that a lot of artillery / towed gun stuff. But I can honestly say That was an IMPRESIVE picture of that many 37s lined up. My guess is North Africa durring a phaseout to 57s or???

Check out the possible? Jeep? tires on the one gun. And yet there are critics that would swear up and down that it was never done that way.

Everybody has an opinion........they were not there....so that's it...an opinion.

Ord Departmemt pics of these guns show Bias Ply and NDT tires.

The Fleming guns from Chile had a bias ply, copy of a US tire made in Chile.......exact duplicate of the origonal. The Chilians must have thought the same thing.

Thanks for correcting my grammar... I in fact should have said opinions and not the above wording. I had a lengthy discussion a few months back on this topic with a gentlemen whose opinion was just the opposite of my opinion. I love the original photos like these as well. Photos speak the language that we all can understand. But then they bring up so many questions as well. Great photo! Thanks for posting it.

photos are EVERYTHING! Period!

Manufacturing, assembly, paint......I have seen a wartime film where jeep chassis and engines are being painted by two guys at the factory, a uniform color! The film is in black and whits...so one must assume the color is OD. Certianly not white, silver?

Total paint over driveline, engine and chassis. Many will argue that that did not happen. So many experts.......

There are many variables......
