Both are gmc’s. Top one looks like a ccw, and the bottom one an early cckw. Sheet metal looks pretty good.

Maybe its just the angle, but do those appear to have been stretched or lengthened??

Yeah... Was thinking the same thing. On the second image especially - note the distance between the rear fuel tank support and the tire. Normally the forward RR mud guard is almost right on top of the fuel tank.

Hope somebody gives them a good home.

Best Regards...

Yeh; Farm or logger trucks. My neighbor has two also and I wonder what they originally paid at surplus auction? $400 for a New all wheel drive truck in 1948? Drove 'm until they quit. Newc

Sad to see the two Warhorses in such poor shape. They were so cheap and plentiful in the post-war period that many were used, abused and put out to rust like these after their use. I think that is why so many of the complete and nice CCKW's in this Country now are "European Returns". I know that's the case with mine!

That is a very nice truck!! Not a CCKW or even a 6x6 (as described by the seller). It is actually a 6x4 CCW. Youll notice it has no drive hubs onthe front, and if you look closely at the second picture, you can see the straight axle underneath the front end. Very desireable truck!
