270 water pump found
Friend of mine is looking for a new or rebuilt water pump for a 270. Anybody have an extra for sale or a good lead to where he might find one? Thanks, Russ

Re: 270 water pump wtb
Is this for a CCKW? The pulley width is different than for some commercial 270 applications.
Although not listed on their website, this company in the NL sells them for the CCKW.

They currently have one listed on e-pay. Note, as it says in their ad, this unit is a reproduction. I have never seen this particular part in person. However, I have purchased parts from this company in the past and have had very good luck with them.
If your friend has the housing, and wants to attempt a rebuild, these guys have kits:

You could also try Rex Ward in the UK.
Be prepared, they have gotten a little pricey as of late.
Best Regards....

Re: 270 water pump wtb
Thanks for the info. I'm sure my friend doesn't know about these sources. I was hoping for something a little closer (you know, immediate gratification). He says his usual sources haven't had any pumps in awhile, and he's not a computer guy (I'm not a whole lot better) so I offered to put it out on the forum for him. Its a CCKW engine in a G506 with a boom on the back and used as a yard truck. He's got 3 or 4 or 5 CCKW's and not an extra pump in the lot.

I purchased one from Rex Ward. He had both original and new manufacture. He ships vs FedEx and you will have it in short order. Rex is very good to deal with.

Thanks for the replies. I am told the 302 water pump is the same as the 270 but you have to change the pulley. Ill let you all know how it turns out. Russ

The 302 water pumps are easily found and fairly inexpensive. My friend decided to buy one of those and swap the pulley. Good to see another old truck still working and earning its keep. Russ
