Installation of NOS CCKW heater in open cab

Post by Dr Deuce » Fri Dec 15, 2017 7:34 am

I want to put the NOS cab heater I bought in my new Open Cab CCKW called "Pat".

There are 2 knock outs on the firewall just like on the closed cabs. I have used these knock outs to install civilian heaters in closed cabs before on a few occasions.

My question is are these knock outs used on the NOS cab heater and if so why does the installation manual say you have to drill the large hose holes instead of mentioning using the knock outs?

You have to drill all holes. They don't line up with anything.
