Chev Distributor info

Post by Hanselandgretel » Thu Sep 28, 2017 6:10 pm

I have several manuals for the 1 1/2 ton Chev and I find distributors shown with and without vacuum advance. Which is correct? Thanks Al Hansel

The mechanical (non-vacuum) is correct as far as I know. I remember seeing those images of the vacuum advance model in the early military manuals, but they photos were exactly the same as the ones in my pre-war civilian manuals so I think they simply reprinted those until they updated the manuals later in the war.
