Thing is ugly. I saw a chevy G506 show truck ( back in the 70s ) basicley stock except, the 235 was turbo charged propane fired .Propane tanks under the bed ,on each side behind the cab.The cab was painted with lacquer 15 coats, was beige. The front fenders and wheels were chocolate brown, and i think the frame was chocolate brown. He switched out gears in it, claims it went 60 mph. Fuel consumtion 30mpg. Thing was kinda nice.

Someone's attempt at a WWII Dodge 1/2 ton closed cab pick-up with Chevy influence. Not even close.

Not my cup of tea, but I'll say the following in its defense: At least a piece of history is still on the road (albeit in an evolved form) as opposed to being shipped to the Far East on a scrap boat only to come back to the US as the 2016 Kudzu or whatever the latest low-budget import is.

Ugh! I try not to be too judgmental, but it's not mine.
Not a bad effort, could have restored a G506 with that labor/investment.

Is it me or is the cargo box pitching down hill towards the rear?

It needs larger tires and bumpers more like the originals for sure.

Well; As hard as it is to 'break even' on a restoration, I can see why some one would go that way to the 'Dark side' I cant' seem to sell any military truck at near what I have in it in Parts. Newc
