Re: G506 Mirror arm mount
Gentlemen,
The lack of interest is mine.
I spent more than 2 full days developing tooling, correct blanks and coming up with a procedure that worked. After all that, it still takes about an hour to make and about $20 worth of materials/hardware. I assigned a value of $65/bracket with the stipulation that I would much rather swap them for Chevy or early 1/2 ton command car parts. The only takers were Joel and Phillip, hence the lack of interest.
I made these things to to help you guys with your correct restorations but you're going to have to come up with something i need/want and you might have to wait for a while, I'm busy a hell at work and would rather spend my limited spare time working on my truck.

how's everything up north we just got 4 to 5 inches of snow in southwest oklahoma but any way I still want another mount if you still have one as soon as I get the funds I'll send you a check like we had talked about awhile back but unlike you I got a little bit of chevy withdraw and with the nice weather I worked on the truck some.

Re: G506 Mirror arm mount
Guys,
I don't have a functioning truck to attach one of these to but i do have a cab with doors on it. So here's what they look like attached to a door (with a piece of round bar acting as a pin). These little buggers are hand made 1 at a time. this one fit easily the 1st try and the screw that attaches it to the hinge also lined up 1st try. you may have to mess around a little to make it fit your truck.
I am not in the antique truck equipment business and will not be making lots of these brackets. if you have already contacted me i will make you up to 2 brackets NO more. I will make a few spares but not many. If for whatever or no reason you don't want or like them i will gladly refund whatever money and/or parts we exchanged and the return postage.
As i said already i would rather swap parts than money, I could use mirror arms, mirrors, just about all the rubber gaskets for the doors, windshield and back window. I don't have a rear window screen, a front wiring harness, Junction box terminal strips, door latch assy's, wiper motors, wiper arms, wiper motor covers, a speedometer cable, fender mounted black out lights. I could go on and on. I know it's a pain in the ass to swap parts, but it's also a pain in the ass to make these things. If you do have parts to swap, you go to the front of the line.

Re: G506 Mirror arm mount
Well, we've got our 1st factory recall to announce....
Joel and Phillip, I must apologize for missing a couple of spot welds. One of the original brackets that i have clearly shows evidence of them, the other does not. Please send them back and i will return them welded, cleaned and reimburse you for the postage.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Kelley

Re: G506 Mirror arm mount
Thanks, but I do not think it will be necessary. The construction of the bracket is quite rigid. Your work is still perfection.

I'm with Joel they look to well made to even be a problem you can do the other one I am getting and I will field test the un welded one but I don't really know why they would spot weld them unless the mirror arm is man handled to ruff and they bend the bracket. Ill be sending you a check this week for the other one
Phillip
Did you ever figure out the shock yet

Re: G506 Mirror arm mount
There is a slight difference in the G-506 Mirror Arm Bracket and the 1st Series CCKWX/CCKW hinge mounted mirror arm bracket, it is negligible and close enough for "government work". I do not have a close up of an original 1st Series CCKW bracket. The CCKW Closed Cab and G-506 do share the same doors and hinges.

Re: G506 Mirror arm mount
I would sure like a couple. I probably can come up with some of the parts on your list or I'd be happy to pay for them.
Thanks,
