I am looking for a 10/12 ft piece of the military special purpose 2/18 wire cable NSN 6145005605481 and/or 7732849. Its a simple 2/ 18 gauge contact wire with a rubber coating. It can be found on some of the old Cole dome shaped emergency lights and most likely many more applications. The 7732849 can usually be seen stamped on the wire.
I have done the search on the numbers and had contact with most of the suppliers of military / government electrical suppliers but they state don't have it or want bulk purchases, or don't deal with civilian buyers.

Since the specs say 2ea 16 strand conductor (30 total) copper (possibly tinned) white and black jacketed inner cables,0.235 Inches outside diameter (1/4") 300 volt, it sure has the look of a civilian drill power or two wire extension cord, maybe even the Wifes old Hoover Vacuum cord that gave up the Ghost.
If you had a photo of a remnant it might help, but even Home Depot lists some 18/2 by the foot (on-line)
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Southwire-B ... 632937-_-N but you can't see if it's stranded wire.
This site shows a nicer photo of the stranded stuff they sell, 40 foot minimum at $0.46 per foot.

But again, not seeing what the original looked like is much harder to know if someone has a piece laying around.'
