Hi, I need an expert advice.
m4a2 has 6 filler caps, though when comparing to m4a1 or m4a4, the number of covers varies as well as their shape. Does anyone one know, whether they are different only in shape, but would fit for any Sherman version? I'm offered m4a4 covers, but the need is for m4a2 ones..

Re: Sherman m4a2 fuel filler caps
The casting is the same part regardless of model. There are variations in the detail shape but that is down to whoever cast them. They are all interchangeable.
The cast dome is actually an armoured cover to access the actual filler cap. The cap itself was originally a bronze, castellated screw on cap, later ones being steel bayonet type.
