I have lots of track skirts, how do I tell M548 from M113?

Kubotaman
Are you sure?
I remember reading about someone who bought a set of Soucy rubber band track for an
M548 (IIRC), cost him something like $30,000 and he got caught badly as the vehicle
was longer, he bought M113 track thus the tracks did not fit his M548.
He posted an article somewhere about it and as Soucy would not take the track
back, he cut and shut the vehicle so as not to have wasted his money.
Having said that, I don't know what variant of M548.

I think I know who you are talking about. That was an XM474 Pershing Missile Launcher. As I recall, they were originally fitted with hydraulic suspension and hence the ride height could be adjusted.

Ok, for that reason, they could have a different length, so may not be the same as an M548

The problem with that is that the shirts are not the length that you think.
They are notoriously a struggle to install as they are several inches shorter than
the mounting holes on the vehicle. I assume that is so that when they are on
the vehicle they are in a stretched condition and don't flap around. Each
skirt is different depending on age.
I can get a measurement from a vehicle of the installed length ie, furtherest bolt
hole to furtherest bolt hole?
