Hello,
I've been looking for a halftrack project for awhile now and I've checked all the usual sources such as Supply Line, MV mag and Gary Hebding of course.
My problem is I'm very picky when it comes to the condition of the frame. I'm looking for a frame with no rust pitting. I don't care if all i start with is the frame (like i did with my scout car) i just want one that is has no rust, location is not an object. I'll go anywhere for the right frame. Don't care if it's a short frame or a long one.
I'd appreciate any leads. I know the frame for me is out there somewhere:-)
You can email me offline at: clintm20@yahoo.com
Thanks.
Dude, where's my Halftrack?

"no-rust" halftrack
Clint--your going to have to get real lucky to find a "no-rust" halftrack frame--I have a M-16 I'm ready to sell and it is probably as rust-free as you will find--unless someone has a museum piece that has never been outdoors in 60 years. They have so many places to "catch" water--your asking for a near impossibility. For instance, you will only see frame rust if you get under the vehicle, or on places like inside the front bumper assembly, or on thr floor, especially the angle steel. The horizontal flat surfaces will always have rust and if you filled them with that God-awful stuff-- "body putty"--who's to know except he with a magnet. If your interested in mine--let me know JAHJ
