Thomson Box for M-16

How rare is the Thomson Box and how much would one cost.

They are not that rare and its not a box its more like a bracket, very easy to reproduce. You'll have a harder time finding a nice Thompson replica to put in it. Gary Hebding has some, www.halftracks.com

Its a box and a bracket the bracket is for the thomson and the box is for the clips

Hello,
There is a Thompson box, and a Thompson bracket that were used. I have both types. The bracket type was made mostly for the M2 M4 series halftracks to be bolted to the ammo storage boxes inside the vehicle. The box was used on the M16 series and has a lid which opens and has several compartment to hold something like 21 XX mags (i think, going by memory as i am at work). The front of the box has brackets to hold 1 gun. It can also be removed from the vehicle quiclkly by lifting two latches. They are around as the above post mentioned. They usually run about 300 or more. Roland

I have them here at Tracks and Things. Exact replicas down to the hardware, felt lined 20 round Thompson mag compartments, the works. Painted and ready to install. Will have some at MVPA show next week. They are $300 each and ship UPS for $12 lower 48. These are really nice repos.
