1st Annual g503 Award

Post by Ron Fitzpatrick » Sun Jul 13, 2003 9:33 pm

G503.com in conjunction with the MVPA will be presenting the prestigious First Annual G503.com Award for the vehicle that best represents the spirit of the military vehicle collecting hobby.

Votes will be accepted from any registered g503.com member for any military vehicle on display at the 28th Annual MVPA International Convention at Alameda, California, July 24-26, 2003.

Your vote is needed along with your military vehicle!

This award was created to honour outstanding achievement in the field of military vehicle presentation. Entrees need not necessarily be restored,
preserved or even assembled. The objective is to award the individual(s) whose vehicle presentation most inspires the respect and admiration of the registered users of g503.com simply by the nature of its presence
at the event.

Examples could be:

A 1945 Ford GPW:
" ... an absolutely spotless daily-driver, from a rusted box-o-parts ..."

A 1954 Dodge M37 Truck:
"... found in a field with an oak tree growing out from under its hood ..."

A 1943 Willys MB In A Crate:
" ... pulled up, as is, from 300 feet down on the ocean floor ..."

The Ballot:
Please stop by space #2, 4, and 6 to pick up your confidential ballot Thursday, July 24 thru Saturday, July 26 by 12pm (noon).

Voting Qualifications:
You must be a registered and verifiable user of G503 message boards or Serial Number List, and verified before the ballot is handed out.
If you have received this message by email, then you are a registered user!

The Ballot Box:
The ballot box will be clearly marked at the MVPA's table under tight security.

Tabulations:
Tabulation of the votes will be done by the MVPA judging staff and announced at the banquet on Saturday night, the Award being presented to the winner.

The Award will be from the users of the G503.com as voted on by the group, and will be entered into the g503.com Historical Hall of Fame.

Boy Ron,
You think of everything! :)
Does this mean a photo of my tank won't be good enough to win...I actually have to drive it down!
Take care...see you next week,
Steve
