This is was done in a collaboration with Darcy Miller and myself, Darcy is reproducing them at his shop (MV Spares) and I provided him with the NOS WWII US Motorcycle grease gun holster for a pattern to make them. We both wanted to give the WWII US Military Motorcycle guys something missing in their saddle bags a real accurate holster to go along with the small Lincoln grease gun.
As known both Harley & Indian US Military Motorcycles used these small Lincoln grease guns during WWII and these guns were tucked in the holsters and placed inside the saddle bags for when need it and over time the petroleum grease rotted the canvas out and made them very rare these days.
The new Holster is larger in size than the original because the originals has shrank in size due to the petroleum oils over time. Darcy has also mildew proof the canvas and added the small leather stop inside the holster to prevent the gun from being pumped inside the holster, just like the original were made and also the brass snaps to top it off as well! These are nice!
The holster will also come with a new made copy of the original Lincoln grease gun instruction sheet that I found roll up inside my grease gun tube. This sheet is also shown on the Johan's WLA Liberator site.
If your interested in one please contact Darcy Miller @ MV Spares they are priced at $50 each
Thanks and keep EM" OD Green!

Re: NEW*** WWII US Military Motorcycle Grease Gun Holster Harley-Indian
Wow this is great news about the reproduction WLA Lincoln grease gun holster! I have been looking for one of these for a long time. I will wait for a review of it but it sure looks good to me and in all likelihood I will also be ordering one too. I am also very happy to hear that the repop is slightly larger than the original that is shown. For example, my repop large tool roll has a couple of slots that make it challenging to get certain tools in them. I think what may occur when people decide to make some of these canvas repops is that the original that might be used as a "jig" or guide in making the repop has obviously shrunk over the decades since they were originally produced. The result is that we end up with an undersized repop. I don't know this for certain; its just a guess on my part.
