WTS 2 Sherrill M6 hull compasses REDUCED

Post by D_Conrad » Sat Jan 27, 2018 8:26 pm

I have 2 Sherrill M6 compasses for sale. One is in amazing shape and has most of the fluid inside still. It also has the original light. The second one has all parts excluding 2 small screws. The clear plastic that houses the compass and fluid is foggy. Asking $200 OBO for both. Buyer pays shipping.

Hello Tadeo,

These units mounted right on the dash of GMC DUKWS , I think right from the factory .
I don't know their other applications or what vehicles they were used on.

Hopefully someone can add additional information !

Best Regards,

Ray

Also used in the late model LVT-4 amtrac

Not sure about the LVT-(A)4 (likely did use the Sherrill M6) and LVT-2, LVT-(A)1, & early model LVT-4(used the earlier transmission case mounted Pioneer No. 1829 compass)

These are filled with standard K1 kerosene. You can buy it in quart cans in the paint department in most big box store.

I opened mine up to refill it from evaporation. Mine was absolutely filled with K1. Can't speak for all the others that were made.
