DUKW wood panels

Post by uglydukwling » Sat Jul 29, 2017 6:08 am

I think I have all the DUKW manuals, and several other books on the DUKW, but one thing that none of them show is the arrangement of the wooden parts around the engine, cockpit, and air boxes, and the metal brackets that they mount to. I have all the parts labelled, so it should become obvious what goes where once I start to assemble the jigsaw puzzle. But it would still save some time if there were a source (preferably downloadable) that shows the arrangement of these parts. It doesn't look like either the Army or G.M. or Sparkman and Stevens bothered to preserve the details. I hope this means that everyone considered it so obvious that no instructions were necessary.

Hello,
That sounds like a good idea, a schematic where they all go, as well as list of the actual sizes for each plywood piece, and their locations,
for those of us who don't have the plywood !!!
